Daniel Bloch -- Keyboards & Drums
From a young age, Daniel couldn’t help but tap on any surface in front of him. Starting out on piano, his teachers honed his technique, sight-reading skills, and harmonic knowledge. Eventually taking up drums and bass, he continued on to study music at Oberlin College & Conservatory, performing with Flutocracy and The Obertones along the way. These days he plays with and produces a variety of artists in the NYC metro area including DeMille, Nick Depuy, and Sammy Trombone. Always drawn to smooth, gooey harmony, and dense, driving groove, Daniel is influenced by artists like Prince, Stevie Wonder, NAO, and Jose James. Overall, he believes that no matter the aesthetic and image Cicero & the Orations will try to achieve, the pulse, whether it be a driving funk or a more tranquil ripple, will be at the core of their sound.
